Hello! Thank you for visiting.

My name is Timothy Dailey-Valdés. I write poetry, plays, and sometimes other things too. I also edit, proofread, and write on a freelance basis.

Last year, I earned my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Texas State University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Writing & Rhetoric from St. Edward’s University in 2010.

I was recently privileged to serve as Poetry Editor for Front Porch Journal during its 10th anniversary year (Issues 30, 31, and 32). In 2012, I founded Bay Laurel, an online literary journal showcasing poetry and fiction that had previously been rejected by other publications. I served as editor-in-chief of Bay Laurel from 2012 to 2014.

My work has appeared, or is forthcoming, in North American ReviewAssaracus, OpossumUs For PresidentTexas Books in Review, and others.

I live and write in my hometown of Austin, Texas, where you’ll frequently find me haunting the stacks at local bookshops, being awkward in various social interactions, or wandering in search of loveliness.
